How you manage content after launch
You should not need a developer to update your website. Every site we build comes with its own simple admin: sign in with a link sent to your email, edit the text, swap an image, publish a post. If you can use a word processor, you can manage your site. This website is run exactly that way.
How a build works from start to finish
- Discovery call. We talk through your goals, your audience, your existing brand, and your content. Usually 60 minutes. No charge.
- Proposal and scope. We send a written proposal covering what we will build, how long it will take, and what it will cost. No hidden extras.
- Design and wireframe. We produce wireframes for the key pages before writing a line of code. You approve the layout and direction before we build.
- Build. We build the site on a staging URL so you can see progress. Regular check-ins throughout.
- Content and copy. We can write or edit your content, or work with copy you provide. We advise on structure and length for SEO.
- Testing and QA. We test across devices, browsers, and screen sizes. We check all links, forms, and integrations.
- Launch. We point your domain, submit to Google Search Console, and monitor for indexing issues in the first week.
- Handover. We walk you through the admin and provide a short guide. You have our contact details for questions.

What technology do you use to build websites?
We build on Next.js with a bespoke, simple content management system, hosted on Vercel. This gives you a fast, secure, and scalable site that is well-suited to AI search. We have moved away from WordPress for new builds because modern technology performs significantly better in every area that matters for search visibility.
Who will own the website when it is built?
You will. Your domain, your hosting account, your CMS, your code. We set everything up in your name and give you full access from day one. You are not locked in to us.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. The admin gives you a clean, simple editing interface. You do not need to know how to code to update text, add pages, publish blog posts, or manage your content. We train you on how to use it as part of the handover.
Do you build WordPress websites?
We have a background in WordPress and can support existing WordPress sites. However, our new builds use Next.js. If you have a WordPress site that you are happy with, we can support and improve it. If you are building something new, we will recommend the modern stack.
What is included in a website build?
Every build is scoped individually. Typically this includes design, development, content structure, schema markup, technical SEO setup, performance optimisation, CMS configuration, and a handover session. We can also include content writing if needed.
How long does a build take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the project. A focused service business site typically takes four to eight weeks from briefing to launch. Larger or more complex projects take longer. We agree a clear timeline before work begins.
Do you build e-commerce websites?
Yes, though our approach is selective. We build e-commerce functionality into Next.js sites where it fits the project. We are not a volume e-commerce agency. If you need a large catalogue store with complex integrations, we will tell you honestly if we are the right fit.
Why is a Next.js site better for AI search than a WordPress site?
Next.js sites load faster, are cleaner in structure, and are easier to instrument with structured data and schema markup. They have no plugin conflicts and no legacy code. AI tools and search engines can parse them more reliably. That translates to better crawling, better indexing, and better citation potential.
